hey everyone, apologies for the short rubbish blog yesterday...
as promised here are some pics from the safari and other bits and bobs...having such a great time here, everyone we meet loves us.
we did a talk last friday morning abotu motivation and trying to inspire the kids to not give up even with their disadvantaged backgrounds etc...i led the talk and it went really well. today has been pretty laid back, slept in til 11, wacked soem washing up to the laundrette, went to a school for fitness then off to another for netball (the kids didnt turn up though, so straight back into the pool).
so, the safari... it was pretty damn awesome, the first day we left at 6.15am and got driven to st lucia where we went on a boat cruise down the river and saw crocs and hippo's. there was an eagle in the tree at some point as well which was pretty cool...then had lunch, then hit the wildcat sanctuary type place, they had all sorts there...one of the cats was called Tyson, it was mental. the bloke in charge threw the meat over and tyson jumped about 3m in the air to catch it, got a couple pics of that. saw a couple cheetahs and went inside with them, they werent that interested in us though cos they ghad a rack of zebra ribs to keep them busy.
There was the biggest douchebag in the world and the cat place. this american woman wearing camoflage from head to toe and her brown belt tied up round her belly button. she was such a dick, always at the front asking questions and barging past people to take photo's. One of the girls said "whats she come as?" when the woman was quite a distance away, little did she know her husband was stood right next to her as she said it. then we just startin ripin her and takin pics, it might look like there is just a floating face in some of the pics but dont be scared its just a yank.
we left at 5am the next day for safari, ive never been colder in all my life. sat on top of a big open top jeep type thing gettin cold wind blasted at us. when it heated up though it was amazing...we saw giraffes, rhinos, buffalo, wilderbeast, warthogs and saw a huge african elephant from about 20m away. was unbelievable. and he had the biggest piece ive ever seen!
anyway im offski for now, heres some pics x
